The easternmost Andalusian capital rules a littoral lined with almost virgin beaches, as well as an interior marked by bizarre semi-deserted ecosystems. Formerly among the most significant ports in the Caliphate of Cordoba, Almeria shows its Alcazaba (citadel) along with its cathedral, on the shores of the Mediterranean. Narrow streets with whitewashed facades are aspects of its picturesque historic quarter. Together with history and culture, Almeria features beaches, mountain and coastal nature reserves, and a gastronomy that can make this trip unforgettable.
Don't leave Almeria without first having a stroll beneath the shade of the Palm trees at Nicolás Salmerón Park, which runs across the seashore. From here we will have some of the finest spectacular views of the marina and also the port. We can also sit outside in one of the terraces to enjoy people stroll by along the streets of Tenor Iribarne and Concepción Arenal, experiencing and enjoying the outstanding climate that this city has all year long. Another choice is to take a walk by Paseo de Almería and Real street, and gaze around the colourful facades, and the "terraos" (uninhabited top storeys), to feel the pulse of one of the most charismatic cities in Andalusia.
