Tourist information - Lassi
Owing to its breathtaking sandy beaches and proximity to both airport and town, Lassi is very popular. It lies just three kilometres towards the south of Argostoli, the island capital; but has lots of restaurants, cafes and also shops of its own. Although a developing resort area, Lassi remains to be typically low-key and particularly popular with families. Lassi has two exceptional beaches which get busy in season, but this does ensure that they have good facilities, including watersports, sun beds as well as a beach bar or two. At night a lot of people head into Argostoli, either on foot or by taxi. The Lassi area is the ideal place from which to to experience a thorough exploration of the island. All adventures locate from here and, along with a string of undeveloped sandy beaches along Kefalonia's calming south coast only 20 minute drive away.
