Tourist information - Alexandroupolis
Alexandroupolis is a coastal city with a population of approximately 38,000. It is the capital of the Prefecture of Evros. It is affiliated by plane with Athens through its airport, by road and rail with Thessaloniki which is about 330 kilometres away. It's also connected by ferry with the islands of the northeast Aegean, via its port.
